Graham & Alva Key (trading as Keystones) have been actively trading on the antiques & collectors’ circuit for nearly 30 years
although now semi-retired we have had a high profile at some of the UK’s leading fairs, including the NEC, Newark, Ardingly, Shepton Mallet and Stafford (Bowman).
Their Denby stock covers 150 years of production of Denby and Langley stonewares and includes 19th century salt glaze and art pottery, bottles, utilitarian wares, advertising wares and tobacco jars, commemorative and personalised wares and advertising wares.
The most popular items requested by collectors today are the art pottery and novelties which were produced by the factory in the late 1920’s and 1930’s – this includes the rare tube-lined wares, the “Electric Blue” and “Orient Ware” glazes as well as the distinctive designs of vases and animal sculptures of Donald Gilbert together with the quirky designs of Alice Teichner (an Austrian refugee) in the late 1930’s. |
